This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Rapid was an 11-gun, wooden screw sloop

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 29-Nov-1860, 160ft long, 30ft 6in wide, of 672 tons builders measurement, and displacing 913 tons. Armed with 1 x 40pdr, 6 x 32pdr and 4 x 20pdr guns.

Broken up at Malta Sep01881.
