Composite Screw Gunvessel 3-gun

    
This the twelfth ship to carry the name HMS Ranger was a 3-gun, composite screw gunvessel.

Built by Elder, launched 12-Feb-1880, 157ft long, 29ft 6in wide and displacing 835 tons. Armed with 1 x 7in and 2 x 64pdr guns.

Sold 24-Sep-1892 as a salvage vessel.

Hired Nov-1914 -1919 and used as an ammunition hulk.

Broken up 1947.
