HMS Ramillies (1706)  (1st)
2nd Rate 82-gun 

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Ramillies was a Second Rate, 82-gun ship-of-the-line. 

Originally HMS Katherine (also known as Royal Katherine from 1696), and renamed as HMS Ramillies 18-Dec-1706.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 26-Oct-1664, 153ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,003 tons builders measurement. Rebuilt 1702.

Rebuilt again 1749, this time at Plymouth, with an increased tonnage of 1,698 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked at Bolt Head 15-Feb-1760.
