This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Raleigh was a
22-gun, iron screw frigate. Built at Chatham Dockyard launched 01-Mar-1873, 280ft x 48ft 6in, of 3,215 tons builders measurement and displacing 5,200 tons. Armed with 2 x 9in and 20 x 64pdr guns. Sold 11-Jul-1905.
