This the second ship to carry the name HMS Pyramus was a 3rd
Class, Protected Cruiser. Built by Palmers of Jarrow, laid down May-1896, launched 15-May-1897 and completed 1900. On completion went to the Mediterranean 1900-04, then returned to the UK and went into reserve at Chatham. Served at the Australia Station 1906-13, and New Zealand 1914. To the Gulf and East Indies 1915. Served as depot ship at Mudros in the Mediterranean 1915-18, then at Devonport 1919029. Sold 1920 and broken up in Holland.
