This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Proserpine was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Originally French, 141ft long, 38ft wide and of 852 tons builders measurement. Captured 12-Oct-1798 by HMS Ethalion off the north coast of Ireland.

Hulked from 1799.

Sold for breaking up 27-Aug-1806.
