3rd Rate 74-gun

    
This the first HMS Powerful was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Perry of Blackwall, launched 03-Apr-1783, 168ft 6in long, 47ft wide and of 1,627 tons builders measurement.

Captured the French Ship Bellone (renamed Bellona then again 1809 as HMS Blanche), off Ceylon 09-Jul-1806.

Broken up at Chatham May-1812.

Won the Battle Honour: Camperdown 1797.
