This the second ship to carry the name HMS Phoebe was a fourth rate, 51-gun, ship.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 12-Apr-1854, 180ft long, 52ft wide and of 2,044 tons builders measurement. Armed with 10 x 8in, 1 x 68pdr and 40 c 32pdr guns.

Conversion to a screw frigate completed 10-Apr-1854, at 2,896 tons builders measurement.

Broken up 1875.
