HMS Orion (1787) (1st)

This the first HMS Orion was a third rate, 74-gun,
ship-of-the-line. Built by Adams & Barnard of Deptford, launched 01-Jun-1787, 170ft long, 47ft wide, and of 1,646 tons builders measurement. Fought at the Battle of Trafalgar where she sustained light damage, with one of her crew killed and 21 wounded. (see: Fleets after the Battle). Broken up Jul-1814. Won the Battle Honours: First of June 1794, Groix Island 1795, St. Vincent 1797, Nile 1798, and Trafalgar 1805.
