This the second ship to carry the name HMS Orion was a second rate,
80-gun, screw, ship-of-the-line. Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 06-Nov-1854, 238ft long, 55ft 6in wide and of 3,281 tons builders measurement. Armed with 34 x 8in, 1 x 68pdr, 56 x 32pdr guns. Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856. Broken up 1867. Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1855.
