HMS Namur (1697) (1st)

This the first HMS Namur was a second rate, three deck, 90/82-gun
ship-of-the-line.
Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 1697, 160ft 9in long on the deck, 130ft long at the keel, 45ft 8in wide, 18ft 6in depth in the hold, and of 1,442 tons builders measurement. She had an establishment of 90-guns and 680 men in time of war at home waters, or 82-guns and 540 men in peace or war overseas. Rebuilt at Deptford 1729 when her tonnage increased to 1,567 tons. Broken up 1723. Won the Battle Honour: Velez Malaga 1704 and Finisterre 1747.
