This the second ship to carry the name HMS Musketeer was an M
Class, destroyer. Built by Fairfield, laid down 07-Dec-1939, launched 02-Dec-1941, and commissioned 18-Sep-1942. War service was spent mainly in the arctic on Russian convoy escort duties. 1943 was spent in the Atlantic with convoy support groups. 1944 returned to the arctic with the 3rd Destroyer flotilla. After this Musketeer went to the Mediterranean and spent the rest of the war mainly around Italy. Sold 03-Dec-1955 and broken up at Sunderland. Won the Battle Honours: Arctic 1942-44, Atlantic 1943, North Cape 1943 and Aegean 1944.
