HMS Milford (1932) SL  (9th)

    
This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Milford was a Falmouth Class (1932) escort sloop.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, laid down 14-Sep-1931, launched 11-Jun-1932, and completed 22-Dec-1932.

On commissioning went to the America & West Indies Station, where she remained until the outbreak of WW2. Only returning to the UK for refit at Portsmouth from Mar/Jul-1938.

At the start of WW2 was based at Trinidad and continued patrol and convoy escort duties.

Sold 1949.

Won the Battle Honour: Atlantic 1940 44.
