Bomb Vessel 14-Gun

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Meteor was a 14-gun, bomb vessel.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 25-Jun-1823, 106ft long, 29ft wide and of 378 tons builders measurement. Armed with 10 x 24pdr carronades, 2 x 6pdr guns, and 2 x mortars.

Used as a survey ship from 1832 and renamed HMS Beacon.

Sold Aug-1846 at Malta.
