Wooden Screw Frigate 40-gun

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Mersey was a 40-gun, wooden screw frigate.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 13-Aug-1858, 300ft long, 52ft wide and of 3,733 tons builders measurement. Armed with 28 x 10in and 12 x 68pdr guns.

Sold 21-Jan-1875.
