This the third ship to carry the name HMS Java was a fourth rate, 52 gun, ship.

Built at Plymouth Dockyard, laid down Mar-1814, launched 16-Nov-1815 and completed 02-Jul-1826. 172ft long, 44ft wide and of 1,460 tons builders measurement.

Reduced to 50 guns 1839.

Used as a target at Portsmouth Nov-1861.

Broken up at Plymouth 22-Nov-1862.
