This the first ship to carry the name HMS Iphigenia was a fifth rate, 32-gun ship.

Built by Betts of Mistleythorn, launched 27-Dec-1780, 126ft long, 35ft wide and of 681 tons builders measurement.

Burnt by accident at Alexandria 20-Jul-1801.

Won the battle Honour: Egypt 1801.
