HMS Indefatigable (1892) CC  (4th)

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Indefatigable was a 2nd class protected cruiser.

Built by London & Glasgow Co of Govan, laid down 1890, launched 12-Mar-1891, and completed 1892.

On completion went into reserve at Portsmouth 1892-96. The went to the North America & West Indies Station 1896-1904. Returned to the UK at Portsmouth 1904-05. Returned to the North America & Wet Indies Station 1906-11.

Renamed HMS Melpomene 11-Jan-1910 to free the old name up for a new battlecruiser.

Attached to the Training Squadron 1912-13.

Sold 07-Oct-1913.
