HMS Imogen (1937) DD  (3rd)

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Imogen was an I Class, destroyer.

Built by Hawthorn Leslie, laid down , launched 30-Oct-1936, and commissioned .

Was in the Mediterranean at the start of WW2 and immediately ordered home. Took part in the evacuations from Belgium and France then returned to the Home Fleet.

On 16-Jul-1940, while screening cruisers off the Pentland Firth in fog, collided with HMS Glasgow, caught fire and was abandoned.

Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1939 and North Sea 1940.
