This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Hermes was originally HMS Minotaur.

A third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 15-Apr-1816, 171ft long, 49ft wide and of 1,726 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Nov-1842.

Renamed HMS Hermes 27-Jul-1866.

Broken up at Sheerness 1869.
