This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Hermes was a wooden paddle sloop.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 26-Jun-1835, 150ft long, 33ft wide and of 716 tons builders measurement (bm).

Rebuilt at Chatham 1842 as 830 tons bm.

Broken up 1864.

Won the Battle Honour: Burma 1852.
