Wooden Screw Frigate 26-gun

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Galatea was a 26-gun, wooden screw frigate.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 14-Sep-1859, 280ft long, 50ft wide and of 3,227 tons builders measurement. Armed with 24 x 10in and 2 x 68pdr guns.

Broken up Jun-1883.
