HMS Falmouth (1911) CC  (7th)

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Falmouth was a second class cruiser.

Built by Beardmore of Dalmuir, laid down 21-Nov-1909, launched 20-Sep-1910, and completed Sep-1911.

On completion joined the Home Fleet 1911-14. Then the Mid-Atlantic Fleet 1914. Joined the Grand Fleet Dec-1914.

Damaged in the North Sea 19-Aug-1916 by torpedo fired from U-66 and then again by a second torpedo fired from U-52. Sank the following day off Flamborough Head.

Won the Battle Honours: Heligoland 1914 and Jutland 1916.
