This the second ship to carry the name HMS Explorer was a
P2000 Class, fast patrol boat. Built by Watercraft, completed Jan-1986 for the Royal Naval Auxiliary Service as Loyal Explorer, commissioned 1994 into the Royal Navy and renamed HMS Explorer. Assigned as the Yorkshire Universities, University Royal Navy Unit. Took part in the Trafalgar 200 Fleet Review. In service Apr-2008.
