This the third ship to carry the name HMS Enchantress was a wooden paddle despatch vessel.

Originally HMS Helicon, built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 31-Jan-1865, 220ft long, 28ft wide, of 837 tons builders measurement and displacing 1,000 tons.

Renamed HMS Enchantress 01-Apr-1888.

Sold 11-Jul-1905.
