HMS Duncan (1903) BB  (4th)

    
This the fourth HMS Duncan was the name ship of a Class of six battleships.

Built by Thames Iron Works, Blackwall, launched 21-Mar-1901 and completed in  Oct-1903. 

Like all of her sister ships she served initially in the Mediterranean Fleet, Duncan from 1903-05. Then to the Channel and Atlantic Fleets until 1908. A return to the Mediterranean followed until 1912 after which she joined the Home Fleet. Joined the 6th Battle Squadron for a spell in 1914 until transferred to the Channel Fleet in November 1914.

On to the Mediterranean Fleet in 1915 but was not involved in the Dardanelles operations. Into Reserve 1917.

Sold 18-Feb-1920.
