This the tenth ship to carry the name HMS Cygnet was an 8-gun, brig.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 06-Apr-1840, 95ft long, 30ft 6in wide and of 359 tons builders measurement. Armed with 8 x 18pdr guns.

Renamed WV 30, May-1863 and used for coastguard duty.

Breaking up completed 03-Jan-1877 at Portsmouth.
