This the second ship to carry the name HMS Crown was a fifth rate, 44-gun, ship.

Built by Taylor of Rotherhithe, launched 13-Jul-1747, 134ft long, 38ft wide and of 842 tons builders measurement. Armed with 20 x 18pdr, 20 x 9pdr and 4 x 6pdr carronades.

Used as a store ship from Jul-1757.

Sold 17-Jul-1770.

Won the Battle Honours: Quebec 1759 and Martinique 1762.
