HMS Conqueror (1862)  (6th)

This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Conqueror, was a first rate, 120-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Originally HMS Waterloo, built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 10-Jun-1833, 218ft long, 55ft wide and of 2,694 tons builders measurement (bm).

Conversion to a Screw ship completed 12-Nov-1859, with an increased tonnage of 2,845 tons bm.

Renamed HMS Conqueror 27-Feb-1862.

Renamed HMS Warspite 11-Aug 1876 and used as a training ship by the Maritime Society.

Burned on the river Thames 20-Jan-1918.
