Steel Screw Corvette 14-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Comus was a 14-gun, steel screw corvette. The name ship of a class of nine. Later re-rated as a third class cruiser.

Built by Elder of Govan, laid down 17-Aug-1876, launched 03-Apr-1878 and completed 23-Oct-1879.

Sold 17-May-1904.
