This the sixteenth ship to carry the name HMS Comet was a Co Class, destroyer.

Built by yarrow, laid down 14-Jun-1943, launched 22-Jun-1944, and commissioned 06-Jun-1945.

Was completed too late to see service during WW2.

Arrived at Troon 23-Oct-1962 for breaking up.
