Fireship 10-gun

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Comet was a 10-gun, fireship.

Originally a 10-gun, sloop, HMS Diligence, Built by Wells of Rotherhithe, launched 29-Jul-1756, 88ft 6in long, 24ft 6in wide and of 236 tons builders measurement.

Converted to a fireship 27-Aug-1779 and renamed HMS Comet.

Sold 05-Dec-1780.
