HMS Colossus (1848)  (3rd)
3rd Rate 80-gun 

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Colossus was a third rate, 80-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 01-Jun-1848, 190ft long, 57ft wide and of 2,590 tons builders measurement.

Armed with 14 x 8in, and 66 x 32pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Conversion to a screw ship completed 11-Jun-1864.

Sold Mar-1867.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1855.
