This the third ship to carry the name HMS Childers was a
Cruizer Class, 16-gun, brig-sloop. Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 23-Aug-1827, and of 385 tons builders measurement. Sold 19-Aug-1865. Won the Battle Honour : China 1842.
