HMS Castor (1832) (3rd)

This the third ship to carry the name HMS Castor was a fifth
rate, 36-gun, ship. Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 02-May-1832, 159ft long, 43ft wide and of 1,239 tons Builders measurement. Armed with 36 x 32pdr guns. Used as a training ship from Jan-1860. Sold 25-Aug-1902 at Sheerness. Won the Battle Honours: Syria 1840 and New Zealand 1845-47.
