HMS Caesar (1898) BB  (3rd)

     
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Caesar was one of nine Majestic Class battleships.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, laid down Mar-1895, launched 02-Sep-1896 and completed in Jan-1898.

She served initially with the Mediterranean Fleet from 1898-1903. The service with the Channel, Atlantic and Home Fleets until 1914.

WW1 saw her join the 7th Battle Squadron for duties in the Channel. In 1915 went to the North America and West Indies station where she remained until 1918. From 1918-19 was in the Mediterranean and Black Seas.

Sold 1921.
