This the second ship to carry the name HMS Boyne was a third rate, 70-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 31-May-1766, 162ft long, 44ft 6in wide and of 1,426 tons builders measurement.

Burnet by accident at Spithead, 01-May-1790.

Won the Battle Honour: St. Lucia 1778.
