HMS Blyth (1941) MS  (1st)

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Blyth was a Bangor Class minesweeper. The lead ship of the reciprocating engined sub-group which are sometimes known as the Blyth Class

Built by Blyth Shipbuilding, laid down 11-Jan-1940, launched 02-Sep-1940 and commissioned 17-Jun-1941.

Sold 25-May-1948 and broken up.

Won the Battle Honours: Dieppe 1942, North Sea 1942, English Channel 1943 and Normandy 1944.
