HMS Benbow (1888) BB  (2nd)

    
This HMS Benbow was the second ship to carry the name and one of five Admiral Class battleships.

Built by the Thames iron Works at Blackwall, laid down  Nov-1882, launched 15-Jun-1885 and completed in Jun-1888.

An initial deployment in the Mediterranean was from 1888-91. Then into Reserve until 1894, when she moved to Greenock as guardship, fro 1894-1904. After this she went back into Reserve.

Sold 13-Jul-1909.
