HMS Barrosa (1890) CC  (3rd)

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Barrosa was a torpedo cruiser.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, laid down My--1888, launched 16-Apr-1889, and completed 1890.

On completion served at Portsmouth 1890-94, then the Channel Fleet for a short time 1890.

Then went to the Cape Station 1894-1901 with a detachment to the Brass River 1895, and M'Wele 1895-96.

Refitted at Haulbowline 1902-03.

Returned to the Cape Station 1903-05.

Sold 11-Jul-1905.

Won the Battle Honours: Benin 1897 and South Africa 1899-1900.
