This the third ship to carry the name HMS Bacchante was a 51-gun, wooden screw frigate.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 30-Jul-1859, 235ft long, 50ft wide and of 2,667 tons builders measurement. Armed with 30 x 8in, 1 x 68pdr and 20 x 32pdr guns.

Broken up at Portsmouth 1869.
