This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Avon was the name
ship of a class of four torpedo boat destroyers. Built by Vickers laid down 17-Feb-1896, launched 10-Oct-1896 and completed Feb-1899. Completed her entire service in home waters. Sold 01-Jul-1920.
