HMS Avon Vale (1941) DD  (1st)

    
This the only ship to carry the name HMS Avon Vale was a Hunt Class Type 2 destroyer.

Built by John Brown on the Clyde, launched 23-Oct-1940 and commissioned 17-Feb-1941.

Transferred to the Greek Navy Mar-1944 to May-1944 and was renamed Aegean.

Broken up 15-May-1958.

Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1941-43, Malta Convoys 1941-42, Libya 1941-42, Sirte 1942, North Africa 1942-43, English Channel 1943-44 and Adriatic 1944.
