Wooden Screw Frigate 46-gun

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Arrogant was a wooden screw frigate.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard launched 05-Apr-1848, 200ftlong, 46ft wide and of 1,872 tons builders measurement. Armed with 12 x 8in, 2 x 68pdr and 32 x 32pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1853 and the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Sold Mar-1867.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
