HMS Ardrossan (1942) MS  (1st)

     
This the only ship to carry the name HMS Ardrossan was a Bangor Class minesweeper. The lead ship of the turbine engined sub-group which are sometimes known as the Ardrossan Class

Built by Blyth Shipbuilding, laid down 06-Sep-1940, launched 22-Jul-1941 and commissioned 21-May-1942.

Sold 01-Jan-1948 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honours: North Sea 1942 and Normandy 1944.
