Wooden Screw Sloop 14-gun

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Archer was a 14-gun, wooden screw sloop.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 27-Mar-1849, 186ft long, 34ft wide and of 973 tons builders measurement. Armed with 2 x 68pdr and 12 x 32pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Arrived at Castle of Charleston 15-Mar-1866 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
