Wooden Screw Gunboat 4-gun

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Albacore was the name ship of a large class of 99, 4-gun, wooden screw gunboats.

Built by J & R White of West Cowes, and engined by Maudslay , Sons & Field, laid down 12-Oct-1855, launched 03-Apr-1856 and completed 05-May-1856.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Used as a tank vessel from 1874. Hulked in 1882.

Broken up at Bermuda Jun-1885.
