HMS Ajax () SSN (9th) |

This on completion will be the ninth ship to carry the name HMS
Ajax. The seventh and last Astute Class fleet submarine. While full authorisation for construction is still only projected a contract was entered into with Rolls-Royce to complete a reactor core to power the submarine 18-Jun-2012. (The same contract also provided for the ordering of the reactor for the first replacement for the Vanguard Class ballistic missile submarines).
