This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Actaeon was a 4-gun, wooden screw corvette.

Originally HMS Dido, built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 23-Oct-1869, 212ft long, 36ft wide, of 1,277 tons builders measurement, and displacing 1,755 tons. Armed with 2 x 7in and 2 x 6pdr guns.

Hulked 1886 and renamed HMS Actaeon Nov-1906.

Sold 17-Jul-1922.
