Rainbow Class (1930) SS

The Rainbow Class (1930) was a class of patrol submarines intended for service in the Far East. They were a follow on to the Parthian Class (1929).

The Class was named after the lead boat HMS Rainbow

The final two of a planned six boats were scrapped before completion.

Of the four which entered service, and saw action during WW2, only one, HMS Rover survived the war. She was scrapped soon after the war ended.
